SDR / e-SDR

All businesses may file their annual property statements electronically using either SDR or e-SDR.​​ ​​

What is SDR?

  • The Standard Data Record (SDR) system is designed to simplify the process of filing annual property statements for businesses that have multiple locations in one or more California counties. Note: Specific programming and/or software is required to use SDR. For more information please see the SDR website FAQ's​​.

What is e-SDR?

2024​ Business Property Statement Due Date and Late Filing (Penalty) Dates:

  • April 1, 2024 -- Business Property Statements Are Due 
  • May 7, 2024* -- Last Day before 10% Penalty is Applied to Late Filed Statements
  • June 7, 2024 -- E-filing system will close (please note penalty applies after May 7th).

These mandate filing deadlines can be found in Revenue and Taxation are established in Revenue and Taxation Code Sections 441(b) and 463, and apply to hard copy, SDR, and e-SDR filings.  Please be sure to file on time to avoid a late filing penalty.  California law does NOT allow filing extensions. 

*If this date falls on a weekend or a legal holiday,  the filing deadline is the next regular business day.
