- E-File your Business Property Statement: January 24 - June 7
- Unsecured Account and Mailing Address Change Form
The Assessor’s Office accepts form filings submitted on the due date provided they bear a valid and timely postmark. The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has recently clarified its postmarking procedures, which may affect how mail is dated. As a result, mailed tax documents and forms may not receive a same-day postmark, even if deposited on or near the filing deadline.
To help ensure timely processing, taxpayers are strongly encouraged to mail documents as early as possible to allow for additional USPS handling time. Taxpayers may also visit their local post office to request a hand-stamped “manual postmark” on the date of mailing. For added assurance, taxpayers may consider using USPS services that provide proof of mailing or take advantage of online filing options when available.
